Dongfeng Motor Suspension Spring Co., Ltd., originating from Leaf Spring Plant
of Dongfeng Motor Corporation, produces automobile suspension spring. The
products of the company include leaf spring, coiling spring, and torsion bar.
The company mainly produces auxiliary car-assembling parts and components for
various types of Dongfeng vehicles. In addition, it also provides auxiliary
parts and components for types of vehicles produced by other companies. Its
products have been exported to America, Italy, Canada, Philippines and so on.
The annual total industrial output value of the company reaches RMB 420,000,000
Yuan. The annual output of Leaf Spring is nearly 50,000 tons. The company is
the largest one in this trade in the aspect of production capacity.
The company has a strong capacity of product development and trial production.
It has established Suspension Spring Research Institution of Dongfeng
Automobile Engineering Research Institution which possesses the designing and
developing capacity of all series of leaf spring.
The company has domestically advanced production equipments and processes of
leaf spring including cold hole punching, hot rolling, multipurpose spring eye
with single station, medium frequency induction heating, stress rotoblast,
continuous fitting of assembly, assembly precompression, automatic grouping of
sagitta, electrootatic painting, infrared drying and so on. The design and
production technologies on its main product EQ140 automobile spring eye won the
Hubei Yellow Crane Invention Award in 1986. It won the award of "New
Design, New Material and New Process on Leaf Spring" at the National
Science Assembly of Engineering Industry in 1987.
The company implements an overall management in quality and has prepared a set
of quality control manual. Through years of improvement the company has
established comparatively mature quality system with its own features. The
quality of its products always remains in a stable condition.
EQ140 Leaf Spring assembly is the first one which is honored with the title of
Superior Products of Hubei Province and Ministry of Engineering Industry and is
listed in the Album of Finely-Selected Chinese Famous, Superior, New and
Special Products and Famous, Dictionary of Special, New and Superior Products
in Present China.
Since 1988 the company was honored with the champion of product quality of
Dongfeng Motor Corporation (the former No. 2 Automobile Works) for five
consecutive years.
The company established Leaf Spring Detection Station of Quality Supervision
and Inspection Institute of Dongfeng Motor Corporation in 1985 with the
approval of high management.
The company was evaluated to be the National Measurement Unit of Class 1 and
won the Quality Control Prize of Hubei Province in 1989.
The company won the Quality Control Prize of Ministry of Engineering Industry
in 1990 and gained the Measurement Certificate issued by Measurement and
Calculation Bureau of Hubei Province on June 30, 1994. The company was confer
the Certificate of GB/T190 01-1994 idt ISO9001:1994 Quality System.
As for the automobile suspension spring, the company always aims at the
advanced level in the world. The company keeps on improve its quality system
according to the requirements of GB/T19001-ISO9001 Standards so as to become
the famous brand of first class in China. At every link of determination and
